Paper Published in Marine and Petroleum Geology

Working alongside colleagues from Shell Italy, and the University Federico II in Naples, Badley Ashton's Dr. Laura Galluccio has had a paper published in the journal 'Marine and Petroleum Geology'. Entitled "Impact of early dolomitization on multi-scale petrophysical heterogeneties and fracture intensity of low-porosity platform carbonates (Albain-Cenomanian, southern Apennines, Italy". The study uses outcrop analogues  to study the impact of dolomitization on reservoir properties and the control of dolomite texture on fracture development and the results provide information that could be used as guidance for the characterization and modelling of fractured carbonate reservoirs made of interlayered limestones and dolomites.

If you would like more information about either this paper or the entire volume, you can find more information here. If you are interested in seeing some of the other papers and presentations that Badley Ashton staff have produced, please take a look at the staff publications page.
